9 Things Your Cat Wants This Year

Are you still working on your holiday shopping? If so, have you figured out what to get your feline pal? We can help! In this article, a local Carmel, IN vet offers some suggestions on things that might make your furball’s wish list.

Kitty Furniture

Cats love having their own furniture to play on. If your feline pal doesn’t have a kitty tower, this would be a great gift. To keep it cheap, go the DIY route and make one from an old stepladder or metal storage rack.

Boxes

Somehow, boxes seem to bring out the frisky side of our feline pals. Give your kitty empty boxes from time to time. This is a really easy way to bring on the purr!

Sunbeam Access

Kitties love sunbathing so much that one might even think they run on solar power. Consider getting a cozy pet bed for your furball, and put it in a spot that gets plenty of sun.

Folded Blankets

One great thing about cats: they can be very easy to please. Fold a soft blanket, and put it on your sofa or an armchair. Chances are, your furball won’t take long to discover this comfy napping spot.

Catnip

Fluffy’s favorite plant is still high on her list of holiday wishes. If you really want to spoil your kitty, grow your own in small containers.

Lap Space

Cats have a reputation for being aloof, but that really isn’t fair: these little furballs can be super affectionate! If Fluffy could write out a wish list, unlimited lap time and endless cuddles may very well be on it!

Mice

Some kitties would be delighted to find live mice in their homes. Others wouldn’t know what to do if a mouse ran in front of them. Our feline friends do meet in the middle when it comes to toy mice, however. Indulge your furball with some fun toys!

Live Entertainment

Do you often find your furball looking out her favorite window? Consider adding a birdfeeder to the yard to make Fluffy’s view even more fun for her!

Veterinary Care

We know, this one probably wouldn’t make Fluffy’s wish list. However, your feline pal will definitely look and feel better with proper veterinary care.
